SkiStar AB: The Swedish Government believes in the tourism industry!
The Swedish Government has today decided to invest SEK 250 million to implement the plans to build a new airport in Sälen. Together with private investments, this project will comprise
over SEK one billion.
This decision is extremely important to Sälen/Trysil and the future development potential in
that area. We have been excitingly awaiting the decision and are really happy with the
outcome. That the Government, with this decision, has demonstrated its support to the
Swedish tourism industry and Sweden’s largest area for winter tourism (Sälenfjällen) proves
that the Government shares the view of opportunities in the future.
A lot of work is yet to be done to realize “Airport center” and the work is definitively
facilitated by the positive decision and the real support that the Government has given the
project.
As said previously, this will develop the expansion of the business in the region, where SkiStar
is one of many interested parties.
