Flashlights and headlamps for demanding outdoor work

Silva has taken the experience from the outdoors and developed a series of headlamps and flashlights with a range of different features for workers and professionals. Nature can be a demanding work environment and as much as you need reliable colleagues, you need smart equipment that you can rely on in any project at any location.

With the launch of this complete new range of flashlights and headlamps, we have taken our experience from the outdoors and developed products with features and functions especially designed to assist workers, doers and professionals. To put it simply, when working outdoors, you need durable, smart and trustworthy equipment that meet your standards and high demands.

The headlamp range
The headlamp range consists of six headlamps developed for different types of outdoor work. They are all lightweight, robust and water resistant, comfortable to wear during demanding work hours, and offers the right light output depending on the work challenge. The headlamps are equipped with SILVA Intelligent Light, a double light beam technology that optimizes the light pattern resulting in less head movements, better control and minimizing the risk of missing important details.

Limitless LR500 is the most powerful and versatile headlamp in the range. Perfect for demanding work where great light is needed over longer distances. It is equipped with SILVA Flow Light, which is an ingenious feature that gives several versions of SILVA Intelligent Light. When tilting the light downwards, the light beam becomes wider and when tilting the light forward, the light beam gets longer. It comes with two attachment options and a powerful 500 lumen output – but without a battery. This is so that you can supplement it with one or several batteries from our wide battery range that suit your personal needs and preferences.

CR320 RC and CR270 are headlamps with night vision mode; in addition to white light the headlamps have a red light mode that preserves your night vision. Two of the headlamps, MR350 RC and MR350, are developed for mountain rescuers and forestry workers and they have with three different light modes; white light, red light and an orange light mode. The orange light is optimal for reading maps and instructions. CR220 is the most basic headlamp in the range and is developed for those who need light for close range work tasks.

Marcus Hjortsberg, Product manager at Silva, is the designer behind the range and he explains the idea behind the headlamps: “Silva has a long history of making great headlamps that really performs. Our knowledge and history made us confident in developing a range that can be used either if you are working deep in the woods or need some extra light at the construction site. They are packed with features, smart attachments for helmets and different battery configurations for long working days.”

The flashlight range
The flashlight range consists of three flashlights developed for different types of outdoor work. They are all fully waterproof, made of robust and durable material and the anti-roll design makes the flashlights extra grip-friendly and ensure that they stay in place on uneven surfaces. They are also equipped with a battery level indicator that informs about the remaining battery level when the flashlight is turned off.

With a powerful 700 lumen output, Seeker RC reaches the top within the flashlight range. It comes with USB-charing and the large tail switch makes it easy to operate with one hand, even when wearing gloves. The tail stand lets the flashlight stand on its own if you want to keep your hands free.

Spotter and Spotter RC are medium sized flashlights with 300 lumen, white light and an additional orange light for reading maps or instructions. Both flashlights have a large tail switch which makes them easy to operate with one hand, even when wearing gloves. The difference between the two is that Spotter is powered by 2 x AA batteries while Spotter RC has an USB rechargeable battery.

In addition, Silva are launching two super-small flashlights, Topo and Topo X, that fits right in your pocket. They have a 20 lumen output, are water resistant, durable, powered by 1 x AAA-battery and the included carabiner hook makes it easy to attach to your tool belt while working or your jacket while hiking. The difference between them is that Topo X has a white light mode and an orange light mode; optimal for reading maps or instructions, while Topo only has an white light.

“Our new flashlight range can be divided into two segments; one with focus on small size, easy to use and to carry with you in all situations and conditions, and one segment that is really robust, waterproof and able to withstand really demanding environments. Common for the segments are that we have been using robust materials such as aluminum bodies together with high precision manufacturing and latest LED technology to make them perform the best. There are also a lot of features implemented in the flashlights, such as anti-roll design, large tail switch and night preservation light”, says Marcus Hjortsberg.

Three entrepreneurial brothers. One great invention. In 1933, Björn, Alvar and Arvid Kjellström invented the first ever liquid-filled compass, and our story began. Not only was it the first compass of its kind, but it also set the global standard for how navigation works. The SILVA brand was born. A few years later, in 1935, we expanded our business with our new invention, and first headlamp, Zeiler. We have since then continued to evolve and set trends for outdoor equipment. The SILVA brand is currently marketed to the Nordic region, Europe, Asia and North America. Since 2011, SILVA is owned by Karnell. For more info, please visit www.silva.se
