Grand Hôtel Stockholm's CEO, Pia Djupmark, has been appointed to the Executive Committee of The Leading Hotels of the World
Stockholm, January 15 2025 – Pia Djupmark, CEO of Grand Hôtel Stockholm, has been appointed to The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) Executive Committee. The committee is composed of eight renowned hotel leaders and entrepreneurs from around the world who collectively drive and develop the world’s largest collection of luxury hotels. The portfolio includes the finest hotels, resorts, private islands, and converted palaces, spanning from exotic paradises to the timeless elegance of the Nordics.
The Leading Hotels of the World proudly announces the addition of Pia Djupmark to its Executive Committee, where she will bring extensive industry expertise, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to enhancing the global network.

Since 2013, Djupmark has served as CEO of Grand Hôtel Stockholm and Grand Group AB. With over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, she has held previous positions as General Manager of the Radisson Blu Royal Viking Hotel and Regional Director of the Radisson Group’s Swedish portfolio. Additionally, she chairs the nomination committee of Visita and is a board member of the nomination committee for the Confederation of Svenskt Näringsliv.
“Pia is a highly respected and collaborative leader within our community,” said Andrea Scherz, chairman of LHW’s Executive Committee and proprietor and general manager of Gstaad Palace. “Her proven leadership and strategic vision will help advance our mission of supporting independent luxury hotels.”
Since its start in 1928, LHW has united luxury hotels and independent hotel entrepreneurs worldwide. Today, it comprises over 400 hotels across more than 80 countries. The Executive Committee consists of seven hotel entrepreneurs and one global business leader representing the network’s 60+ shareholder members. Together with LHW’s leadership and team, the committee works to strengthen and connect 5-star hotels globally.
Alongside Pia Djupmark, the members of The Leading Hotels of the World Executive Committee include Andrea Scherz, Chairman of LHW’s Executive Committee and Owner and General Manager of Gstaad Palace; Ruth Jones, Vice Chair of LHW’s Executive Committee; Crescenzo Gargano, Co-owner of Hotel Santa Caterina; Richard Leuenberger, Managing Director of Badrutt’s Palace; Peter Shaindlin, Chief Operating Officer of Halekulani Corporation; Matthias Winkler, CEO of Sacher Hotels; and Lynne Biggar, Senior Advisor at Boston Consulting Group and former Chief Marketing Officer at Visa.
