Ski Scandinavia doubles the capacity of its winter charters to Scandinavian Mountains Airport in Sälen/Trysil

British charter operator Ski Scandinavia is doubling the capacity of its winter charters to Scandinavian Mountains Airport from 11 February 2023. It is operating direct flights from Gatwick to Sälen/Trysil ("the heart of skiing”) on Saturdays. The venture builds on the positive experience gained last year, when the partnership was launched with a few trial flights.

SkiStar invests heavily in hotels: Takes over the operation of six hotels and lodges in Scandinavian mountain resorts

As part of SkiStar's work to consolidate its position as the leading holiday tour operator for Scandinavia, the company is now taking a new approach to hotel development in the Scandinavian mountains. On 2 May, the last two of SkiStar’s destinations, Åre in Sweden and Hemsedal in Norway, closed for the winter season, a season which was historic in many ways as the company succeeded in staying open all winter, offering a total of 150 days of skiing. The focus has been on the safety of all guests, employees and residents of the ski resorts, along with good snow conditions and good service.
