Leading Scandinavian ski resort operator SkiStar is undertaking a unique pilot project to operate a ski resort completely fossil-free

SkiStar, the leading holiday organiser for Scandinavia, is taking a significant step in its transition to a fossil-free operation by testing complete electrification of a ski resort. The unique pilot project is being conducted at SkiStar's ski resort in Stockholm, Hammarbybacken. This marks a crucial milestone for the company towards its sustainability goal for 2030.

Removed and eased restrictions in Sweden and Norway: this applies at SkiStar

Thanks to the easing of restrictions against Covid-19, SkiStar can finally remove several of precautions, although some will be retained. For example, travelling for all foreign guests visiting our Norwegian destinations will be considerably easier, with no requirement for border testing at entry.

SkiStar Åre: Three new chairlifts in Åre

With one of the most significant investments in lifts ever made in Åre, next season will see the addition of no less than three modern chairlifts. The new lifts will boast capacity in the ski area with about 5 000 persons and further improve the skiing experience in the zone below the treeline.
