Press release -

West is best for township forum

Major changes in local health services will be discussed when Bury West Township Forum meets on Thursday 13 March.

Top of the agenda is a presentation by NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group, about transforming health and care services in Bury, how this could be done and to get early feedback in advance of any public consultation.

Dr Kiran Patel, chair and clinical lead for NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), said: "We are pleased to have the opportunity to come to each of the township forums to talk about the plans and vision to transform health and care services in Bury. Through these plans, we want patients to experience a more joined up system of care, improved health and have a better experience of local services. At the forums we will share these plans and local people will have the chance to tell us what they think about them and what is important to them."

Also on the agenda is a presentation on the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment, and updates from the advisory group/youth cabinet and the highways sub-group.

The meeting is at Bolton Road Methodist Church and starts at 7pm. The usual open forum and public question time will be on the agenda in the second half of the meeting.
