Bury Running Festival set to return in 2025

Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, in partnership with Bury Council and Bury BID, are excited to announce the highly anticipated Bury Running Festival is back for 2025.

More electric buses for the Bee Network

Go North West, in partnership with Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), will introduce 19 new electric double-decker buses to the Bee Network on 5 January 2025. This expansion increases Go North West’s electric fleet to 69 buses, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly public transport in Greater Manchester.

Bury Council consists of six towns, Bury, Ramsbottom, Tottington, Radcliffe, Whitefield and Prestwich. Formed in April 1974 as a result of Local Government re-organisation it was one of the ten original districts that formed the County of Greater Manchester. The Borough has an area of 9,919 hectares (24,511 acres) and serves a population of 187,500.
