Spring wildlife walk at Chesham Local Nature Reserve

Press release -

Spring wildlife walk at Chesham Local Nature Reserve

Spring is sprung and it’s the perfect time for a guided walk around Chesham Local Nature Reserve.

The free event takes place on Sunday 19 May, and is led by Jacqui Goggs, Bury Accessible Natural Greenspace Officer, and the Chesham Fold Green Gym.

Walkers will leave the Lido car park at 1.30pm, and be given tips on how to identify spring flowers and woodland wildlife along the way.

There will also be information about how the local Chesham Fold Green Gym helps to manage the woodland for people and wildlife and how you can get involved during 2013.

The Green Gym will run every Sunday (1.30-4pm) with a variety of easy physical tasks, training, events and guided walks around Chesham Woods with the aim of providing light exercise while benefiting the local environment.

For more information about the guided walk or the Chesham Fold Green Gym, contact Jacqui Goggs on 0161 253 7764 or email j.goggs@bury.gov.uk
