Press release -

Remember to post your postal vote!

With only eight days to go until the Bury Council elections, postal voters are being reminded to return their ballot papers in good time.

Around 24% of electors in Bury are registered for a postal vote in next Thursday’s (5 May) poll, when all 51 seats on the council will be contested.

This year, residents can vote for up to three candidates on the ballot paper.

Postal voters are reminded to include both envelopes when they send back their forms – one which includes your statement of identity, and one which includes your ballot paper.

If you forget to send it back by next Thursday, don’t worry – you can drop it off at your designated polling station on election day itself, between 7am and 10pm.

Alternatively, you can hand it in at the reception desk at Bury Town Hall any weekday (except Bank Holiday Monday) between 9am and 5pm.
