Ramsbottom Covid vax clinic moves into library

Coronavirus vaccinations in Ramsbottom will soon be offered at a venue close to the existing clinic in the Civic Hall.

The hall is to revert to being a community venue, so the clinic will move into nearby Ramsbottom Library on Carr Street, on the first floor.

The final clinic to take place at the civic hall will be on Saturday 21 May, and there will then be a pause while the service moves into the library, where the first clinic is scheduled to run on 11 June.

Fin McCaul, clinical director at the Ramsbottom Clinic, said: “The clinic has been running since January 2021 and has delivered more than 90,000 Covid-19 vaccinations – plus 10,000 flu jabs.

“Ramsbottom Library offers a nearby and accessible venue for local people to get their Covid-19 jabs when they are due one. For safety reasons, please remember to wear a face covering (unless medically exempt) while visiting the vaccination service within the library building.”

Vaccinations are still available at venues across the borough – including at the Elizabethan Suite in Bury, Radcliffe United Reformed Church, Prestwich Walk-in Centre and in Ramsbottom.

The sites offer first and second doses, boosters and second boosters to whoever is eligible, when they are due.
