Press release -

Library service ‘chipping’ in to help dogs

Micro-chipping for dogs will soon become compulsory, and Bury Library service is stepping in to help pet owners comply with the law.

Working with the Dogs Trust, it has arranged a free micro-chipping session on Saturday 23 November (10am-1pm) at Topping Fold Community Centre and Library.

The benefits of micro-chipping mean that all puppies are traceable to their breeder, which acts as a deterrent to dog theft and enables dogs and their owners to be re-united far more effectively.
