Learn to love your laptop

Free computer help is being offered to residents to help them get the best from their laptops.

The regular sessions run at Brandlesholme Community Centre and Library, and are aimed at those who need a hand getting used to the online world.

Three IT volunteers will be on site to help on Monday and Wednesday mornings and Tuesday afternoons, in addition to help offered by library staff at other times. The service is free of charge and available to all ages.

One user, Joan Barnes, said: "I have learned a lot and it is really enjoyable. I can email and chat online and order things - it's fabulous. I can also find information, for instance about Kerala, a place I would like to go on holiday. My aim is to be able to book a holiday online confidently.”

For more details, or to book an appointment, call Joanne Bailey on 0161 253 5022.
