​Get ready to Party in the Park

A huge range of family attractions awaits visitors to the annual Party in Park, held at Openshaw Park in Bury on Sunday 9 June.

Local sports clubs are putting on sessions, such as Bury Athletics Club (high jump/long jump), Bury Rugby Club (tots rugby), Walmer Tennis Club (short tennis), Bury East Rounders team, Bury Blue Devils (basketball), plus a penalty shoot-out.

Community groups will be hosting games and activities, from tombolas to book and plant sales and pebble painting, and there will be an Asian food stall, a tea and cakes tent, ice cream and a Polish BBQ.

The Fusiliers band will be playing throughout the afternoon, and Roch Valley Radio will be there along with the RSPB, Blind Society, fire service, police and ambulance.

The event has been funded by Ambition for Ageing and Forever Manchester, and runs from noon to 4pm.
