Essential works at Bowker Vale planned

Press release -

Essential works at Bowker Vale planned

Essential maintenance work at Bowker Vale Metrolink stop will take place overnight  between 9pm and 6am from Sunday 3 February  to Tuesday morning 5 February

For safety reasons, the work can only be done while the tram line is closed. Letters have been sent by Transport for Greater Manchester, who is carrying out the work, to 272 residents who live nearby and may be affected.

Some of the overnight work will require low level lighting and involve use of hand-held tools. TfGM say they will try to keep any disturbance to a minimum. Measures will be taken to reduce noise wherever possible, for example, by the type of generators that are used, by switching off machinery when it is not in use and by completing any noisy work as quickly as possible.
