Dads and their tots look after winter wildlife

Local families at Daisyfield Children’s Centre made sure local wildlife didn’t go hungry during the weekend snow this week in a special nature session aimed at Dads and their children.

The Dad’s Group, which meets on the last Saturday of each month, made binoculars to look for birds and their children made bird feeders from plastic cups to fill with seeds and nuts to take home and hang in their gardens.

Kelly Barlow, the centre’s Imaginative Crèche/session worker put the session together along with other wildlife related activities to entertain families who trekked to the centre through the snowy conditions to enjoy some quality time with their children.

Kelly said; “It was great to see families still managed to make it to the session despite the weather”
