Company fined for illegal hoarding on Green Belt land

A Bury company and its director have been fined for displaying an advertising hoarding without consent on Green Belt land next to the M66 exit slip road.

PYM Gate Developments Limited, of Imperial House, Barcroft Street, Bury, and Graham Lightbown (aged 45) of Redvales Road, Bury pleaded guilty to the charge at Bury Magistrates Court on Tuesday (27 Oct 2015).

Lightbown and PYM were each fined £300 and ordered to pay Bury Council costs of £250 and a victim surcharge of £30 – a total financial penalty of £1,160.
