Christmas markets = road closures in Ramsbottom

Ramsbottom is gearing up for Christmas markets on Sunday 2 December and Sunday 16 December.

The festive spirit, however, means that there will be temporary road closures in the town centre on those days.

Bridge Street will be closed from 6am to 6pm on both Sundays, which will affectBridge Street, Square Street,Silver Street,Ramsbottom LaneandCrow Lane. The one-way system currently in place means that Square Street andSilver Streetwill also be closed to traffic.  

The alternative diversions areCrow Lane, lower Square Street and Kay Brow.

There will be further ‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions on some areas ofCrow LaneandRamsbottom Lane.

Please note that NSL parking officers will be on site during the road closure days to keep traffic flow moving and disruption to a minimum.

* December is a busy month for Ramsbottom! The popular food and craft markets will be on Bridge Street on 2 and 16 Dec, the festive farmers market arrives on 9 Dec, and on 23 Dec the town will taken over by camels accompanied by three wise men, hawks and owls, and donkeys!
