​Celebrate Bury’s sporting heroes and heroines

The Bury 2019 Sports Awards are on their way – and residents are invited to submit their nominations by 3 June.

The awards will honour volunteers, community clubs or groups, community initiatives, schools, and young athletes who have made an impact through sport and physical activity.

The categories are: Changing Lifestyle Recognition Award, Community Club / Group of the Year, Young Sports Achiever of the Year, Unsung Hero Award, Volunteer of the Year, School Commitment to PE and Sport Award, and ‘I Will If You Will’ Sporting Female of the Year, along with two new categories: Workforce Advocate and Community Initiative Award.

The awards are organised by Bury Sport and Physical Activity Service and will take place at the Elizabethan Suite in Bury Town Hall on Friday 18 October.
