Carols round the Christmas Tree

Press release -

Carols round the Christmas Tree

Families are invited to the switching on of the Christmas lights at Topping Fold Community Centre and Library.

Councillor Mike Connolly, leader of the council, and ward councillor Trevor Holt will do the honours at 6.30pm on Tuesday 18 December.

Six Town Housing and Topping Fold Tenants and Residents Association have purchased a tree which will go outside the centre, and this is the first time this kind of event has been organised.

Cllr Connolly said: “It has really brought the community together and it’s been a great talking point around the estate in helping to spread the Christmas spirit to more people. There will be mince pies and hot chocolate available so we hope that everyone will come and join us in the singing at this festive community event.”
