Birthday Barlow has high praise for local Patisserie

Whitefield business and renowned Pâtissier Slatterys was not too busy preparing for this year’s
Chocolate Festival to roll their sleeves up and run up another astonishing cake
for none other than Gary Barlow.

The 24” creation was made from plain sponge with a buttercream and jam  filling and showed an edible replica figure, made by Gary Barlow fan and cake artist Mel Hughes,  who has worked for the company since 1995 . Gary was delighted when he first saw the cake and has shared its picture to the
world via his Twitter account with his 2.6 million followers.

John Slattery said; “We were really pleased to make this cake for such a popular icon and even more so that he has spread the word among his fans.”

John is currently getting ready to show off his indulgent chocolate delights at this year’s Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival on Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 March. For more details go to www.ramsbottomchocolatefestival.com
