A range of local support available for Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week will take place from Monday 9 May to Sunday 15 May, and this year’s theme is ‘loneliness’.

Hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, this is an annual opportunity for the whole of the UK to focus on achieving good mental health.

Local people are being encouraged to speak about their feelings and can seek support if they are feeling anxious, worried, lonely and frustrated.

Bury residents are reminded that there is a range of help and support available, which can be found on the Bury Directory Health and Wellbeing Hub - or contact the Getting Helpline (open Mon-Sat 8am - 8pm) 0161 464 3679.

Alternatively, Let's Live Well Health Improvement has more than 50 projects in Bury. The activities available are extensive, ranging from guided walks, litter picking and cooking classes, to advice sessions for parents and everything in between. You can find more details on the projects near to you by visiting the Lets Live Well Health Improvement page on the Bury Directory.
