40 years of Showaddywaddy

Four decades of retro rock’n’roll are coming to Prestwich when Showaddywaddy play the Longfield Suite on 22 November.

The band have racked up an incredible 23 Top 40 hit singles, including ten Top 5 hits – “Under the Moon of Love”, “When”, “You Got What It Takes”, “3 Steps To Heaven” and “Hey Rock & Roll, Etc!” – and 15 massive selling albums, including the Christmas number 1 in 1978.

Their popularity has continued down the years: their 2004 “Very Best Of” compilation gave the band their first Gold Album award for more than 20 years, while 2006’s new recording "I Love Rock & Roll" enjoyed healthy worldwide sales.

The band comprise: Andy Pelos (lead vocals), Romeo Challenger (drums), Rod Deas (bass), Dean Loach (keyboards/vocals), Paul Dixon (lead guitar/vocals), and Rob Hewins (drums/guitar.vocals).

Tickets are £18.50 – see http://www.ticketline.co.uk/venue/prestwich-longfield-live or call the Longfield Suite on 0161 253 7227, option 5.
