April 25, 2016, Stockholm, Sweden – Last week in Amsterdam, Red Herring announced its Red Herring Europe award winners this evening at the Top 100 forum, recognizing Europe’s leading private companies and celebrating these companies innovations and technologies across their respective industries. The Swedish innovation company Umbilical Design was chosen as a 2016 Red Herring Top 100 Europe Winner
Det svenska innovationsföretaget Umbilical Design, som är ledande inom design för rymden och extrema miljöer, har utsetts till ett av Europas främsta entreprenörsföretag av entreprenörsmagasinet Red Herring. Detta meddelades på Red Herring Top 100 Forum i Amsterdam i mitten av april.
Vinnare av det nyinstiftade Almedalspriset Stålbrallan blev kvinnonätverket Street Gäris. Christer Fuglesang delade under Almedalsveckan ut priset som Björn Borg, Jernkontoret och Umbilical design står bakom. Stålbrallan är ett pris som skapats för att uppmuntra en person eller grupp som utmanat och förbättrat genom korsbefruktning och gränsöverskridande samarbeten.
Björn Borg har samarbetat med hyperteknologiska rymddesigners och den svenska stålindustrin. Målet? Att kunna erbjuda flamsäkra underkläder som klarar den extrema hettan i stålverk och potentiella rymdresor. Kollektionen lanseras i Almedalen 2 juli och samtidigt instiftas priset Stålbrallan som delas ut för första gången av Christer Fuglesang.
