Restaurant Signum awarded with a Guide Michelin star!

Restaurant Signum has been awarded a star in the Guide Michelin!

Wow! on Monday evening it was announced which restaurants had been awarded a star in the prestigious Guide Michelin and Signum was one of them. Another step towards Västsveriges number one food destination.

According to Guide Michelin, there are just under twenty restaurants in Sweden that currently have one or more stars. To get there, several criteria, including the quality of the raw materials and the craftsmanship itself, such as the taste experience, are assessed by a secret jury.

Signum, which has barely been open a year, has been praised from day one, including a fantastic review of DI. Behind Signum is the star chef Thomas Sjögren, who has won "Årets Kock" and "Kockarnas Kamp", as well as chefs Markus Pettersson (who, incidentally, went on to be selected for this year's edition of "Årets Kock") and Hampus Fors.

Thomas Sjögren´s words about the award;

"To one day run a Michelin starred restaurant has been a dream sinceI became a cook. 3 years ago when me and my colleagues first visited Hällsnäs Hotell & Restaurang we knew this was the place to do it. After 2 years of planning and building, we finally got to open Restaurant Signum and after just one year my dream came true. We have an amazing team that´s been working really hard to get here and I´am so proud to be able to work with so many professionals in this industry. Without you and all of our fantastic suppliers and producers, we couldn´t have been heter. thank you guys. Now the journey continues and we will be pushing even harder from this point."
