Malmö presents the official sites for the host city programme of Eurovision 2024

The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will take place in the Malmö Arena next to the train station Hyllie. Alongside the song contest, the city of Malmö will host the official fan zone Eurovision Village at the iconic Folkets Park, EuroClub and the Grand Final Party at the Malmö Live Congress and Concert Hall, and a buzzling programme along the Eurovision Street. Everything easily accessible with public transportation, by bike or even by foot.

When the Eurovision Song Contest arrives, the host city Malmö invites everyone to a lively celebration of openness and inclusivity, which will be noticeable throughout the city from May 4-11. The aim is to offer something for all fans, visitors, and residents. There will be music and culture on stages, in clubs, at parties, and in pop-up events.

– We in Malmö hope to welcome hundred thousand visitors to our city, and we are organizing this collective celebration together. Now it's time to show our creative and brave city, says Karin Karlsson, Managing Director City Host Event.

The music lineup will be diverse, reflecting both the mainstream and niche genres, aiming to mirror both Malmö and Sweden. There will be fixed stages as well as mobile performances. Collaboration with local entities and organisers is a crucial aspect, involving the city's cultural institutions as well as independent cultural scenes, and thriving business community.

Restaurants, bars and venues across Malmö will host additional events just for Eurovision. Everything will be presented in details in late March on malmo.se/esc2024.

Folkets Park becomes Eurovision Village
Sweden's oldest “folk park” (people’s park) and one of Malmö's most beloved places will transform into Eurovision Village from May 4-11. The park will become a dedicated Eurovision area with unique experiences and encounters between Eurovision fans, Malmö residents, and visitors.

The main stage will focus on the Eurovision Village opening, special events, concerts with Eurovision names and other artists. The small stage will also focus on concerts and other special events with a smaller audience. There will be several areas for activities and socialising. The park's independent cultural and food establishments will have their own programmes and contribute to a vibrant overall experience.

Those who want to continue the celebration can easily walk, cycle, or use public transport to reach the parties and clubs in central Malmö, just a few minutes away.

Eurovision Street – a vibrant street scene between Triangeln station and Eurovision Village
Friisgatan, a popular car-free street in Malmö which is filled with restaurants and cafés, becomes Eurovision Street – the lively stretch between Triangeln station and Eurovision Village. On your walk along the street you’ll be able to encounter musical surprises and food from local food actors with roots all over the city and the world.

Eurovision Street will not only be a pathway in the Eurovision city but also a place to stop and experience and socialize during delightful days and evenings in early May.

Malmö Live – a Eurovision bubble inside and outside
Malmö Live Congress and Concert Hall will be a house filled with parties during the Eurovision Song Contest. Here, Malmö invites to the opening ceremony and the closing Grand final party for a celebration of music and community, with a playful programme in between.

Malmö Live will also host the Turquoise carpet and EuroClub.

Malmö Live's location, just a stone's throw away from Malmö Central Station, offers a few minutes train ride to and from Malmö Arena and Eurovision Village.

Malmö Arena – the epicenter of the world’s largest music event
Malmö Arena, located near Hyllie station, will serve as the vibrant backdrop to the world’s largest music competition with more than 180 million viewers worldwide. Audience can partake in nine shows taking place on May 6 to 11. The live shows are broadcast from Malmö Arena on May 7, 9, and 11.

In addition to the main stage, Malmö Arena, together with Malmömässan, will serve as the epicenter for delegation facilities and media resources, ensuring the best conditions for seamless operations and top-tier support for participants and press.

Taking merely 3 and 7 minutes by train, Hyllie station provides swift access to the other two Eurovision hubs: Eurovision Village, situated within walking distance from Triangeln station, and Malmö Live at Malmö Central Station.

– We are so much looking forward to the Eurovision week in Malmö. All the happenings out in the city perfectly complements the event in the arena, says Ebba Adielsson Executive Producer Eurovision Song Contest 2024 at SVT.
