The Swedish chef Adam Dahlberg finished sixth in Bocuse d’Or 2013 - Stockholm to arrange Bocuse d’Or Europe 2014

In harsh competition Chef Adam Dahlberg and his team came on a creditable sixth place in Bocuse d’Or, the most prestigious chef championship in the world. The gold medal went to France, the silver medal to Denmark and the bronze to Japan.

”We had a good feeling right from the start, but it wasn’t enough this time”, Adam says.

During five hours and 35 minutes Adam and his team prepared and cooked two main courses; one of meat and one of fish.

Adam competed during the first day in Lyon. On Wednesday, January 30th all the 24 nations had competed and the winners were announced the same evening.

Bocuse d’Or Europe 2014 will be held in Stockholm and is the next time Europe’s most distinguished chefs will meet to compete and create amazing food. Gastronomi Sverige and the Swedish Bocuse d’Or Academy will be responsible for the arrangement. The best nations of Europe will then advance to the next world championship, Bocuse d’Or in Lyon 2015.

“Our ambition for Bocuse d’Or Europe 2014 is to arrange a unique Swedish gastronomical feast, where the chefs are the main focus and food is the topic of discussion. We look forward to creating many good memories here in Sweden”, says Mathias Dahlgren, chairman Bocuse d’Or Academy Sweden.
