Tonight on May 31, the laureates of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award 2020 and 2021 were celebrated at a digital award ceremony from Stockholm. The award was presented by H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and the Minister for Culture and Democracy Amanda Lind who gave speeches for the two laureates.
Under måndagskvällen belönades 2020 och 2021 års pristagare av Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award vid en digital prisutdelning från Stockholm. Priset överlämnades av H.K.H. Kronprinsessan Victoria och kultur- och demokratiminister Amanda Lind höll tal till pristagarna.

Baek Heena is one of Korea’s most recognized picture book artists. With a background in film animation, her unique visual style features handmade miniature figurines and environments painstakingly lighted and photographed. She has published thirteen picture books that are popular throughout Asia, a number of which have been translated.
Baek Heena är en av Sydkoreas mest berömda bilderbokskonstnärer med bakgrund inom animationsfilm. Hennes originella visuella uttryck kännetecknas av egentillverkade miniatyrfigurer och miljöer som omsorgsfullt ljussatts och fotograferats. The Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award was created in 2002 by the Swedish government to promote every child’s right to great stories. This global award is given annually to a person or organisation for their outstanding contribution to children’s and young adult literature. With a prize of five million Swedish kronor, it is the largest award of its kind. Administrated by the Swedish Arts Council.
