From investment victim to community leader

Daniel Johansson from Sweden invested a large amount of money himself, in the German company Juicy Fields, which later turned out to be a scam. He now spends most of his time as a community manager for the social media platforms where other victims of investment fraud communicate.

Lars Olofsson, lawyer filed a lawsuit against Facebook Sweden AB, in the Stockholm District Court on March 21, 2024. Facebook Sweden AB is the Swedish holding company for Meta in Sweden, and manages the data centers of the company – the largest non American based server facility for Meta outside of the US.

Sharp increase in investment fraud

In the last 4 to 5 years, investment scams have increased by several hundred percent. Many of these have been generated from Russia and in the spring of 2023, the Moscow Times reported that during the second half of 2022, the Russian Financial Supervisory Authority, together with the Russian Central Bank, had identified 965 attempted investment frauds
