JYSK celebrates EU Diversity Month 2024

During May 2024, the global home furnishing retailer JYSK will mark EU Diversity Month with an inclusive video and employee stories highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and society in general.

“Let’s build a more inclusive society together.”

That is the overall message of EU Diversity Month 2024, which JYSK – the global home furnishing retailer founded in Denmark – is actively supporting this year.

With an inclusive video and personal stories from employees across Europe, JYSK wants to put a spotlight on the importance of creating inclusive workplaces.

“With more than 31,000 employees in 48 different countries, we naturally have a very diverse community among our colleagues, but it is also important that they feel included at work. JYSK is for everyone and a workplace where everyone is valued and appreciated for who they are as individuals. I am proud to see that our employees also experience this in their work life,” says Rami Jensen, President & CEO at JYSK.

In JYSK’s most recent employee satisfaction survey from January 2024, employees across Europe scored JYSK 82 out of 100 when asked if they feel they can be themselves at work, and 87 out of 100 when asked if JYSK has equal opportunities for everyone.

In the video made especially for EU Diversity Month 2024, photos of various product groups sold at JYSK stores are featured. For instance, a photo of different garden chairs are headlined, ‘We are all garden chairs’, followed by the tag line, ‘and we have a seat for all of you’.

During May, the video will be promoted on JYSK’s social media channels in countries across the European Union. In addition, personal employee stories in various countries will showcase how some of JYSK’s employees have experienced their workplace as diverse and inclusive.
