Press release -

Bavaria Romerike Named Dealer of the Year in Norway

The prestigious Dealer of the Year award is highly regarded in the Bavaria group. In stark competition, Bavaria Romerike with its two locations in Gardermoen and Lillestrøm was crowned Dealer of the Year in Norway last week. The distinction is based on a full assessment of merits such as overall performance, quality, and customer and employee satisfaction.

- Bavaria Romerike has performed exceptionally well over time and thus has built a solid reputation. The dealership is innovative, adaptable, and performs well in all disciplines. The strong results can be attributed to a great team effort. It shows that the organization works towards the same goal. Every single employee does their utmost every day to deliver unique customer experiences, said CEO of Bavaria Norway, Hallvard Vikeså, at the award ceremony.

The criteria for becoming dealer of the year are many and varied, and include quality, sales, service, innovation, customer and employee satisfaction.

- I am humble and proud! This is an award that all the talented dealers in the Bavaria group are fighting for, and we are pleased to be able to call ourselves dealer of the year. We have made some bold choices on the way we work in Romerike, and it has paid off. Bavaria Gardermoen and Bavaria Lillestrøm were merged into one company in 2018, and the acknowledgment is a result of conscious teamwork and very good team spirit across our two locations. I am extremely proud of what our employees now deliver as a joint team delivering unique customer experiences on a daily basis, says general manager of Bavaria Romerike, Espen Dalby Johansen.

The general manager of Bavaria Romerike, Espen Dalby Johansen, says that the recipe lies in the good collaboration across locations as well as skilled employees who, over time, have built good customer relationships.

An industry with greater competition than ever.

The auto industry undergoes big transformations, and customers are placing higher and higher demands on service and competence. Bavaria Romerike wants to have a central position in the development of the customer experience. The company works tirelessly to develop the business and challenge the industry.

- Bavaria must be forward-thinking and innovative. We aim to be surprisingly different and noticeably better, and our overall strategy is to create unique customer experiences. This means that we must make choices that will position us for future customer wishes and preferences. We have many challenges, but at least as many creative and innovative solutions. The fact that we received this recognition shows us that we are on the right path. Nevertheless, we can always get better. Now we have fresh inspiration and are determined to defend our title, Johansen comments.

Trust-based culture with a focus on development

Ever since its inception, Bavaria has had a clear focus on building a culture based on solid core values. Today, the Norwegian part of the business counts 350 employees working to create the best dealer alternative for discerning car customers wanting to experience both driving and ownership pleasure. The company has experienced expansive growth and has undergone major changes, but has always worked purposefully to continue the strong Bavaria culture. This was proven in October last year, when Bavaria Norway was certified as a Great Place to Work for the fifth consecutive time. The excellent working environment is probably the most important success factor.

- We strive to be surprisingly different and noticeably better in everything we do. Our culture determines how we work together, solve challenges, think new, and treat our customers. Our people are excellent at what they do, so our job is to make them work well together, unleash their common potential, and inspire them to think new and create unique customer experiences. It allows employees to be themselves, have fun at work, explore, experiment, and make mistakes. We must constantly remind ourselves that failure is a fundamental part of learning and development. It is therefore important for us that we show employees trust and care, and that we express gratitude for the work they do, Vikeså concludes.
