Raine Wermelin Appointed COO for Hedin Mobility Group's Nordic Retail Operations of BMW and MINI.

Hedin Mobility Group and BMW have a successful and strategically important partnership in the European car market. To further develop the business, the operations in Norway, Sweden, and Finland are now being coordinated into a unified Nordic organization. To lead the development of the new organization within Hedin Mobility Group, Raine Wermelin is appointed as Chief Operating Officer.

Magnus Monié Appointed New CEO of Bavaria Sweden

Bavaria Sweden is pleased to announce the appointment of Magnus Monié as the company's new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective June 26, 2023. Monié comes from the position as Regional Director for eight out of Bavaria Sweden's 14 dealerships in Sweden. He succeeds Johan Frisk, who is leaving to pursue new opportunities outside of Hedin Mobility Group.

Hedin Automotive Switzerland expands its brand portfolio with Dodge and RAM

Hedin Automotive Switzerland expands its brand portfolio by adding Dodge and RAM to its existing lineup. The Swiss headquarters in Zurich-Dielsdorf will serve as the new competence center for the two new brands, with sales nationwide and additional sales and service locations in development.

Hedin Mobility Group expands its presence in central and northern Sweden and strengthens its position as one of Europe's largest BMW dealers.

Bavaria Expands its Presence in Northern and Central Sweden, Strengthening Hedin Mobility Group´s Position as One of Europe's Largest BMW Dealers

Hedin Mobility Group has entered into an agreement to acquire the BMW dealers Mats Lindholms Bil AB and Molin Bil AB. The transactions include all activities related to the sale of new and used passenger cars as well as a wide range of aftermarket services, which are carried out at three full-service dealerships Lindholms Bil in Umeå, Lindholms Bil in Örnsköldsvik and Molin Bil in Sundsvall.

With the acquisition of the three Alpina dealerships in St. Gallen, Widnau and Chur, Hedin Automotive takes position as the second largest BMW dealership chain in Switzerland.

Hedin Automotive Acquires Alpina Group and Expands Presence in Switzerland

Hedin Automotive AG in Switzerland has entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of Alpina Group, the largest BMW and MINI dealership group in the eastern part of Switzerland with a turnover of around 117,5 million Euro in 2021. With the acquisition of the three dealerships in St. Gallen, Widnau and Chur, the company takes a further step in growing its presence in Switzerland. 

The dealership in Molde became part of Bavaria Norway again when the company bought back the BMW and MINI business from Brages in 2019.

Bavaria Norway Acquires the Remaining Shares in Bavaria Molde

In 2019, Bavaria Norway took over the majority stake of Bavaria Molde through the acquisition of the BMW and the MINI businesses Brages Bil and Brages Molde. The company now completes the acquisition of the remaining stake from the minority shareholder, becoming the sole owner of Bavaria Molde with its two dealerships in Molde and Kristiansund.

In a virtual event this week, the company received further acknowledgement when it was recognised as #14 on the Best Workplaces in Sweden in 2022 on the list of large organisations with 250+ employees.
