Press release -

Bavaria named one of Sweden's Best Workplaces™ once again by Great Place to Work®

Bavaria has been named one of Sweden's Best Workplaces™ for the second year in a row, ranking 15th in the category of large organizations with 250+ employees. The award is given by Great Place to Work®, which conducts the world's largest employee survey annually.

Sweden´s Best Workplaces™ is based on a thorough analysis of employees' confidential responses to the world's largest employee survey, and Great Place to Work's assessment of the organisation's processes and culture for creating an workplace that attracts and retains talent.

Bavaria has since its inception had a clear focus on building a culture based on solid core values. Today, the Swedish part of the business counts 300 employees working to create the best dealer alternative for discerning car customers wanting to experience both driving and ownership pleasure. To succeed, Bavaria depends on competent, engaged, and interested employees who want to contribute to the development of the company, regardless of their role. Bavaria has measured engagement and employee satisfaction for years. In the latest survey, 99% of all Bavaria Sweden employees chose to respond to the survey, and 87% of employees said, "I am proud to tell others where I work."

- I am very grateful and happy to be ranked among Sweden's best workplaces once again, but most of all, I am proud of our talented employees whose hard work and fine efforts have led to these results. At Bavaria, we know that it is culture that drives success. It is what sets us apart from our competitors, drives us to move forward and thrive. Being ranked among the best is a great testimony and proof that our Next Level culture is strong and that there is a high degree of trust. It is recognition of our commitment to providing our employees with opportunities for professional and personal development, says Johan Frisk, CEO of Bavaria Sweden.

- After a careful review of Bavaria's results in our employee survey and their initiative to create an excellent workplace culture for all their employees, we recognise Bavaria one of Sweden's Best Workplaces™ 2023. Bavaria as a company is a role model when it comes to the way they work with trust, pride and community and we hope that others will be inspired to follow suit, says Jeanette Bergvall, CEO of Great Place to Work® in Sweden.

Surprisingly Different, Noticeably Better

The automotive industry is undergoing major transformations, and customers are placing higher and higher demands on service and competence. At the same time, Bavaria is witnessing one of the most competitive times for talent the industry has seen.

- We want to have a central position in the development of the customer experience and need to attract and retain the best talent. We aim to be surprisingly different and noticeably better and strive to create a culture where everyone's voices are heard and their efforts appreciated. With our second placement in a row on the prestigious list, we come closer to being the best employer we can be for our employees, says Marcus Larsson, CEO of Hedin Mobility Group's BMW and MINI operations.

Marcus Larsson, CEO of Hedin Mobility Group's BMW and MINI operations
Our people are excellent at what they do, so our job is to make them work well together, unleash their common potential, and inspire them to be innovative and create unique customer experiences, says Marcus Larsson, CEO of Hedin Mobility Group's BMW and MINI operations.

Culture key to Success

According to Great Place to Work®, the global authority on workplace culture and excellence, there is a clear connection between the highest-rated companies and their ability to deliver market-leading results while demonstrating a high degree of innovation. It has been proven that companies that make employee experience a central part of their work gain their employees' trust. This creates opportunities to develop a strong corporate culture, which in turn leads to outstanding business results. For Bavaria, employee engagement is crucial for certification and placement on the top list.

Bavaria has a high degree of growth and has undergone significant changes but has always worked continuously with its strong "Next Level" culture. The good working environment is probably the most important factor for the company's success.

- Our culture determines how we work together, solve challenges, improve our operation, and treat our customers. Our people are excellent at what they do, so our job is to make them work well together, unleash their common potential, and inspire them to be innovative and create unique customer experiences. Our strong culture allows employees to be themselves, have fun at work, explore, experiment, and make mistakes. We must constantly remind ourselves that failure is a fundamental part of learning and development. It is therefore important for us that we show employees trust and care, and that we express gratitude for the work they do, Larsson concludes.

About Sweden's Best Workplaces™

Sweden's Best Workplaces™ is based on a thorough review of the company culture, where the organisation is assessed from two perspectives: the employees' experience of the workplace culture and the organisation's efforts to create a really good workplace. Great Place to Work® uses two methods to evaluate the Best Workplaces in Sweden™. The degree of trust, pride and community is measured in the Trust Index™ employee survey, which consists of 60 statements that employees are asked to rate. A Culture Audit™ asks decision-makers open-ended questions to account for HR and leadership practices and how they create an environment that attracts and retains talent.
