Stockholm’s loveliest terrace opens for the summer

A clear sign that spring is here and that summer is just around the corner is the opening of Terrassen at the Grand Hôtel

The Grand Hôtel offers an al fresco dining and bar area on a casual yet elegant sidewalk terrace, inspired by the French Riviera. Here at Terrassen, guests can savour Southern European-inspired cuisine, delectable cocktails and an unbeatable view of the Royal Palace.

The menu includes classics like Chèvre Chaud and Salade Nicoise, as well as the hotel’s own version of the popular New York lobster roll and other international dishes. And for those who wish to enjoy a drink in the sun, the bar menu includes everything from Champagne cocktails like Bellinis and Ruby Royals to Wine Cobblers and long drinks such as Rosé Pamp, Whiskey Smash and La Moustache.

Inaugurated last year, Terrassen was an immediate hit with those looking for a touch of the Riviera right here in Stockholm. The sidewalk seating offers two settings – one for dinner guests and a lounge area with generous sofas, armchairs, and a large bar. Designed in turquoise and raspberry red, framed by lush citrus and olive trees, this summer oasis creates the perfect Mediterranean feeling.

“Terrassen was a huge success last year and we believe that it will be met with open arms again this year. There is a lovely atmosphere on the French Riviera, which has inspired our al fresco dining and bar area, something we are quite unique in being able to offer here in Stockholm,” explains Maria Maruska, Director of Food & Beverage at the Grand Hôtel.

Open seven days a week from lunch until 10pm, Terrassen is located 50 metres to the right of the Grand Hôtel’s main entrance, next to Mathias Dahlgren’s restaurants and the Grand Hôtel Nordic Spa & Fitness.
