For 100 years the Sections of the School of Spiritual Science at the Goetheanum have been working with an understanding of life under cosmic, earthly and human developmental conditions in order to take on civilizational tasks. At the Campus Fete on 8 September 2024, Goetheanum co-workers will make the work of the School tangible to visitors.

Healthy food as human right >>> Short film on 100 years of biodynamic farming

Farming nurtures human beings. As the world population is growing, the number of people working in agriculture is going down. Biodynamic farming has been trying for a hundred years to offer meaningful and attractive work contexts and to develop solutions for the challenges of our time.

100 years of biodynamic farming: Expanding all the senses >>> In a collaboration between ‘Steinbeisser’ and the Section for Agriculture at the Goetheanum, chefs Elif Oskan and Selassie Atadika cook with biodynamic ingredients

For the centenary of biodynamic farming Elif Oskan and Selassie Atadika offer a culinary evening at the Goetheanum with biodynamic ingredients from its own garden. The organizer, experimental gastronomy initiative ‘Steinbeisser’, likes to combine Haute Cuisine with artistically designed objects such as cutlery.

Dialogue between colour and light >>> Exhibition ‘Light Leaf and Fire Form’ with works by Ferose (sculpture) and Stephane Zwahlen (painting)

The exhibition ‘Light Leaf and Fire Form’ is a first encounter between Ferose’s iron sculptures and Stephane Zwahlen’s colour studies and ‘word works’. The Visual Arts Section at the Goetheanum has brought the two polar approaches together in a way that makes tangible what lives in the in-between in the works of both artists.

Dancing to Franz Schubert >>> ‘Touching Eternity’ cycle: following an introductory Schubertiade, the ensemble ‘Faust Quartett’ will play all of Schubert‘s string quartets at the Goetheanum

Between 2023 and 2029, ‘Faust Quartett’ will perform all of Franz Schubert‘s string quartets at the Goetheanum. A Schubertiade two days prior to each concert will introduce dances by Franz Schubert, to some of which audience members can dance with guidance from Barbara Leitherer.

School of Spiritual Science

The Goetheanum is the headquarters for the School of Spiritual Science and the General Anthroposophical Society. The School of Spiritual Science with its eleven sections is active worldwide in research, development, teaching, and the practical implementation of its research findings and is supported by the Anthroposophical Society.
