Tractor Bob’s, a dealer of Yanmar America Corporation has designed and fabricated a tractor conversion for a handicapped customer in a wheelchair. The Yanmar YT3 chair lift is the first chair lift on a compact Yanmar tractor and allows a person in a wheelchair access the tractor and operate it by hand.
The Yamaoka Scholarship Foundation, established by Yanmar’s founder Magokichi Yamaoka, provides scholarships to disadvantaged youth, while the Yamaoka Hanasaka Academy which was established in 2016, seeks to provide both academic and sporting opportunities. At separate awards ceremonies on June 13 and 14, school students were awarded scholarships to support their studies and sporting ambitions.
