Yanmar Holdings Completes Acquisition of TEDOM

Prague, Czechia (November 19, 2024) - Yanmar Energy System Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Yanmar Holdings, has officially completed its acquisition of Czech cogeneration manufacturer TEDOM. As of November 1, Yanmar is listed as the new owner of TEDOM in the Czech Commercial Register. Yanmar reached an agreement with TEDOM’s previous owner, Jet Investment, on September 4, with regulatory authorities completing the review process over the past few weeks. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

Since the 1990s, TEDOM has been recognized globally as a manufacturer of cogeneration systems. In recent years, the company has expanded beyond traditional engineering to include sustainable energy solutions and comprehensive energy services, such as decentralized power sources. This year, TEDOM completed the strategic acquisition of Italy’s Intergen and has achieved record sales of cogeneration units. TEDOM Energy has also become the market’s fastest-growing supplier by customer numbers.

"TEDOM has an excellent reputation both in Europe and globally,” said Peter Aarsen, CEO of Yanmar Energy Systems International. “Its production, development, and service standards are high, and we intend to continue building on this expertise. From day one, TEDOM will be a valuable part of the energy segment of our holding.”

"Operationally and strategically, it’s business as usual for TEDOM, and we’re continuing to see strong growth in both the industrial and energy sectors,” said Ladislav Zeman, CEO of TEDOM. “We’re solidifying our position as a global leader in cogeneration and as a provider of energy services—qualities that I believe attracted Yanmar’s interest.”

With the acquisition complete, TEDOM now joins the Yanmar Group. Yanmar Energy System plans to leverage TEDOM's strengths to enter new European markets, enhance product development efficiency, and create synergies by sharing resources across manufacturing, procurement, sales, and service channels.
