Behind the Scenes Video of Yanmar’s All-New Brand Flagship: the X47 Express Cruiser

Osaka, October 31^st, 2019 - Yanmar Co., Ltd. has released another video, offering a glimpse at its innovative new brand flagship, the X47 Express Cruiser - the 47-foot vessel that will serve as the Official VIP Cruiser of the 36th America’s Cup presented by Prada, the oldest trophy in international sport and the pinnacle of yachting.

The latest video highlights the cooperation between Yanmar and Italian luxury yacht builder Azimut. As Yanmar embarks upon its second century of business, the company sought out a partner that shares its values of technology, innovation and excitement, in creating its next-generation brand flagship.

“We needed a partner who has this fantastic international connection,” said Yanmar Holdings Director, Ken Okuyama. “With the technology and the sense of engineering design, it’s a perfect partnership that Yanmar and Azimut work together.”

Marco Valle, CEO of Azimut Yachts echoed Ken Okuyama’s sentiments going on to emphasize the value Azimut brought to the project: “Azimut was selected because of the innovation, because of the quality.”

With the global launch of the X47 scheduled for the start of December 2019, all eyes now turn to the beautiful location of Albany in the Bahamas which will play host to the launch.

The X47 will accommodate VIPs in luxury and comfort throughout the whole America’s Cup competition, culminating in the world series and the final race in Auckland NZ, March 2021.
