Best gay-places in Stockholm

In a city as open as Stockholm, there’s never been a need for just one segregated gayborhood. It’s been said that if ever there was a capital designed by gay people for gay people, Stockholm is it. We have had marriage equality for years and even our future queen, the radiant Crown Princess Victoria, recently gave out the award for Gay of the Year.

Glorious Stockholm wins eleven prizes

The film Glorious Stockholm, which has been developed by Stockholm Visitors Board , in collaboration with Visit Sweden and the production company Big 5 to promote Stockholm as gay - friendly city, recently received the eleventh international award. This time the first prize in the competition Gold Camera Award handed out in Los Angeles.

Event: Stockholm Pride

Stockholm Pride draws half a million people every year, making it swedens largest public event and Scandinavias biggest LGBT Pride. Happening over several days in late July and early August, Stockholm Pride incorporates music, art, lectures, debates and of course a fair bit of revelry, all culminating in Saturdays huge parade through the city and outdoor festival in Pride Park.

Club life moves outdoors in June

The most popular clubs move outdoors during the warm and light summer nights. From the beginning of June until the end of August, the best dance floors in the city are under the bridges, on the roof of Kulturhuset and in the parks.
