The CMA Awards – Country Music’s Biggest Night™ – is Shazamable

On Wednesday night, Country Music fans can Shazam the CMA Awards for an exciting experience

New York – November 5, 2013 - Shazam®, the world’s leading media engagement company, announced today that “The 47th Annual CMA Awards” will be Shazamable to give music fans a deeper experience of Country Music’s Biggest Nght™.  Wednesday at 8pm/7pm CT on the ABC Television Network, viewers will be able to use the Shazam App to follow the Awards ceremony as it happens, keeping track of nominees and the Awards presented, get custom content from Country Music artists, and easily buy their favorite music.

Additionally, when viewers Shazam the show, they can also engage with the music to see playlists of the top Shazamed Country Music tracks, as well as the top tracks for hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.

Viewers will see a Shazam call to action periodically during the program, but viewers can Shazam at anytime to access all the great content.

Shazam for TV is an extension of the much-loved music service that Shazam has offered since 2002, so that now, the popular app also works with television shows.  The Shazam app is the easiest way for the more than 105 million U.S. Shazam users to get additional content about any show on 160 channels.  For TV shows, people can see show and cast info with photos; dynamic content – updated to the second – that includes music in the broadcast, gossip, tweets and trivia; commerce links to iTunes to buy past episodes or seasons, or to rent or buy movies; and links to the official mobile-optimized site for buying show-related merchandise, the show’s website, IMDB and Wikipedia; and sharing and commenting about the show on Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
