AddSecure in partnership with SMS Labruyere for e-CMR solution

Through the strategic partnership with SMS Labruyere, AddSecure Smart Transport customers across Europe will benefit from a certified solution for electronic consignment notes (e-CMR) that is paperless, secure and fully digital.

AddSecure, a leading European provider of premium solutions for secure critical communications and data, today announced the partnership with the French company SMS Labruyere for a common solution for electronic consignment notes (e-CMR). A CMR, or consignment note, is a standardized document required by the European Union for all road transport. CMR comprises the rights and obligations of all the parties involved in the consignment – the shipper, carrier, and addressee.

The solution is based on the product Easy-CMR and it is certified in compliance with the e-CMR protocol (eIDAS). Through this strategic partnership, customers in Europe can now take advantage of the ease and simplicity of a paperless, secure, and fully digital solution for mission management.

Accessible through a fixed screen, Android phone, or tablet, the solution allows the driver to fill out the necessary information related to every stage of a transport mission through a series of automated steps. On delivery, the driver and consignee both sign the document electronically. In the event of an inspection, the e-CMR, which is stored electronically in an easy-to-access digital format, can easily be downloaded using a QR code.

Transport companies and drivers can now reap the safety and efficiency benefits of digitalization with AddSecure’s brand-new e-CMR and Document Management solutions.

“We are excited to partner with SMS Labruyere. There has never been a better time to reduce stress and increase safety for both drivers and transport managers by eliminating paper records,” said Johan Frilund, President, AddSecure Smart Transport.

“We believe that the best way to offer Easy-CMR to a large customer base is to partner with AddSecure, who is the market leader for Fleet Management systems in Europe. We are looking forward to this great opportunity and see the partnership as a clear win-win”, said Patrick Payen, Managing Director, SMS Labruyere.

“To reduce risk of contamination, especially now during the Corona pandemic, we must find ways to minimize – or even eliminate – the need to handle paper. Therefore, AddSecure has launched its new digital e-CMR and Document Management solution,” says David Pouchart, Global Services Operations Manager at AddSecure Smart Transport.
