London Northwestern Railway: Passengers urged to check journeys ahead of Bank Holiday engineering works

Passengers travelling with London Northwestern Railway (LNR) are being urged to check their journeys ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend due to engineering works.

As a result of track improvement works by Network Rail, journeys between Crewe and Milton Keynes are subject to disruption between Saturday 25 May and Monday 27 May inclusive.

Jonny Wiseman, LNR customer experience director, said:

“I would like to thank passengers for their patience as journeys on the West Coast Main Line between Crewe and Milton Keynes are subject to disruption this weekend due to engineering works.

“These upgrades are crucial for providing a more reliable and efficient service for passengers in the future.”

Meanwhile, passengers traveling with LNR’s sister company West Midlands Railway are being reminded of a closure to the Cross City North line (between Lichfield Trent Valley/Four Oaks and Birmingham New Street) for six days from Monday 27 May until Saturday 1 June inclusive due to engineering works.

More information on the Cross City North line closure and engineering works is available here.
