Citrix Systems, Inc.: Citrix Enables “Workshifting” For IT With GoToManage for iPad

Today at Citrix Synergy™, the event where virtual computing takes centre stage, Citrix Systems announced GoToManage® for iPad®, a free application that enables users to securely troubleshoot and provide real-time technical support to a computer user’s system from anywhere.  Workshifting for IT will soon be possible with the availability of the number one remote support solution[1] on Apple’s popular mobile media and computing device.

GoToManage was built to meet the needs of IT managers and consultants without the complexity found in most remote support software offerings.  Its intuitive design makes GoToManage for iPad an application that anyone could use.  Available soon as a free app for the iPad, IT professionals will be able to conduct live end-user support sessions and take control of a user’s PC or Mac® as if they were sitting in front of it.  This application gives businesses a secure and reliable way to free IT from a physical location and empowers them to be more responsive when end users need technical assistance.
