National Hug Your Boss Day Approaching

Another year, another National Hug Your Boss Day which will be held on Friday 19th August 2011. Would you choose to hug your boss this year?

Well, TipTopJob’s recent surveys have revealed some interesting facts. Only 37% of respondents say they would be happy to hug their boss in the office but this figure increases to 42% outside of work. Obviously a more relaxed environment allows people to let their guard down but are these low figures anything to do with relationships suffering under the pressures of the economic climate?

National Hug Your Boss Day was created to promote workplace relationships. TipTopJob does not simply believe that a hug with your boss is the all important component to solving problems and encouraging happiness at work but they do think that a good relationship with your boss could lead to better morale, motivation and ultimately productivity. National Hug Your Boss Day is about making employees and employers aware of relationships and encouraging everyone to better them. A number of articles on the National Hug Your Boss Day website can help both the employees and employers to improve their relationships at work.

Join in the fun this year and please email your “hug” pictures to marketing@tiptopjob.com or upload them to the National Hug Your Boss Day Facebook page. The best photo will be rewarded with a bottle of champagne this year.
