Press release -
montméd, Inc. joins forces with Timesulin to bring timely relief from insulin injection worries to 20 countries in Middle East and North Africa
London, January 28,
2013 - International diabetes product manufacturing, distribution and marketing
company montméd, Inc., today confirmed an exclusive distribution partnership
for the Middle East and North Africa of the new Timesulin replacement cap,
adding the latest global must-have product to its extensive diabetes care portfolio.
Timesulin is an innovative new replacement cap with a built-in timer that shows
the time lapsed since the last injection was administered, eliminating the
stress millions of people face daily over accidental double – or missed –
insulin doses. By distributing Timesulin to the Middle East and North Africa,
montméd will offer help to the estimated 32.9 million individuals living
with diabetes in this region of the world.
Timesulin is designed to help people living with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes who treat their diabetes with insulin pens to remember when they took their last insulin injection - and help them make educated decisions about administering their next insulin injection. CEO and Co-founder, John Sjölund, has first-hand experience in the anxiety many people with diabetes face on a daily basis – having lived with Type 1 for 27 years. “Diabetes management is a full-time job and when you live with this condition you have so many factors to consider – wondering whether or not you’ve taken your habitual insulin injection should not be one of them. That’s why we created Timesulin, to just make life for people with diabetes a little bit easier,” he says.
And montméd’s General Manager in MENA, Dr Mohammed Jawad, agrees. “What really appealed to us is Timesulin’s simplicity,” he says. “The Timesulin smart cap requires no programming, works with all major insulin pens, does not need to be recharged and is simple enough for anyone to use, whether it’s a five-year-old just learning to inject or an eighty-five-year-old who’s been doing it for years.”
Durable and sturdy, Timesulin caps can last for a year or more of regular use and are reasonably priced, providing valuable peace of mind for patients at a cost most can readily afford.
Timesulin smart caps are the latest addition to the montméd portfolio of diabetes products. The company also manufactures, distributes and markets a number of other diabetes management tools and products internationally, including:
· Insulin syringes
· Insulin pens and needles
· FRIO® insulin cooling wallets
montméd specializes in providing advanced health care products to patients and medical personnel around the world to allow people with diabetes to manage their condition and control their blood sugar levels effectively.
