XL STUDIO launches today, a new creative agency connecting brands with the global gaming community

14th February, London: XL STUDIO, a new global creative agency specialising in creating engaging and innovative campaigns, events, activations, and exposure for brands, is excited to reveal its official launch today. Founded by industry veterans with a combined force of over 20 years of experience, XL STUDIO is set to design bespoke campaigns and activations for mainstream and gaming brands alike, assisting in establishing a genuine connection with the global gaming community.

Launched by industry professionals who leverage over 20 years of experience, the team consists of Managing Director and GIANTX (previously EXCEL ESPORTS) Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Carter, as well as Studio Director, Jason Spiller, who founded Arcanist, a successful gaming and esports agency. Reagan May will join as Creative Lead, having previously worked as a social media strategist for some of the biggest clients in gaming, including influencers to help build world-class campaigns.

Additionally, Jeffrey Marriott, who has extensive experience working with the largest companies in gaming such as Bungie, Humble Games and Epic Games, will join as Influencer Lead while Craig Nimmo, an expert in hosting and building large-scale events for a variety of gaming and esports clients will join as Operations Lead.

The agency has already worked to bring a series of events and campaigns to the public eye, including bringing sports fashion and outdoor brand JD Sports to the gaming trade fair, Gamescom, with its immersive experiential, Beyond the Basement. Creating a unique entertainment playground allowed guests to view JD’s culture throughout the years, showcasing brand awareness through interactive displays that garnered over 35,000 attendees throughout Gamescom. XL STUDIO also worked alongside rhythm game developers, Drastic Games, and mobile network operator EE, during its Valorant Women’s Cup tournament at Insomnia Gaming Festival in 2023.

JRJ Group, who previously acquired a majority stake in EXCEL ESPORTS, recently rebranded to GIANTX, following their merger with Spanish esports organisation, Giants, continue their support in this new venture to deliver innovative and imaginative campaigns to brands globally..
