Galaxies Showcase Spotlights 40+ Games Including Runescape: Dragonwilds, FBC: Firebreak, and Covenant
Inaugural gaming event delivers on promise of quality and diversity with major announcements, world premieres, and surprise shadow drops.
LONDON - April 17th, 2025 - The first-ever Galaxies showcase has concluded, delivering an hour of non-stop gaming announcements from over 40 developers and publishers. Hosted by Jane Douglas, the event featured world premieres, exclusive gameplay footage, and several surprise shadow drops available to play immediately.
The showcase featured new looks at several major titles from established studios, including Jagex's RuneScape: Dragonwilds, a new open-world survival game set in the iconic MMO universe; Remedy Entertainment's FBC: Firebreak, which showcased extended gameplay of their three-player cooperative FPS set in the Control universe; Covenant from Legion Studios, a dark fantasy game created by veterans of Halo and Destiny that combines fighting, spellcasting, and shooting elements; and Saber Interactive's revival of the classic Painkiller franchise, featuring four playable characters and cooperative action.
Four titles were made immediately available during the event as shadow drops: Kepler Interactive's physics-based puzzle platformer Bionic Bay; Amplifier's team-based neighborhood warfare game Neighbors: Suburban Warfare; Tiny Dragon's trap-filled party game Golf Gambit; and a playable demo of D-CELL and Playstack's rhythm adventure UNBEATABLE, where music is illegal and players commit crimes.

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS
Jagex’s trailer gave a deeper look at the recently launched RuneScape: Dragonwilds, an ambitious open-world survival game set in the iconic RuneScape universe. Players will craft, build, and battle across a vast landscape inspired by Gielinor, bringing the beloved MMORPG into an entirely new genre.
Remedy Entertainment showcased extended gameplay of FBC: Firebreak, their three-player cooperative first-person shooter set in the Control universe. Players will take on the role of first responders from the Federal Bureau of Control, utilizing paranatural augments to battle otherworldly forces threatening The Oldest House.
Legion Studios revealed new footage of Covenant, a dark fantasy first-person experience that combines fighting, spellcasting, and shooting elements. Developed by industry veterans who previously worked on Halo and Destiny, the game features both campaign and multiplayer modes in a richly detailed world.
Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. (KONAMI) and Sweden-based Studio Far Out Games showcased new gameplay of their upcoming chaotic courier adventure Deliver at All Costs, demonstrating just how much destruction players will be able to cause as they aim to deliver no matter what once the game releases on May 22nd.
Saber Interactive unveiled the arsenal of demonic weapons coming to Painkiller, the modern reimagining of the classic action-shooter featuring fast-paced co-op gameplay and heart-pounding combat. Battle hordes of demons and titanic terrors across richly detailed gothic environments when Painkiller launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S this fall.
Saber Interactive also presented The Knightling, a fantasy action-adventure where players wield a massive shield and experience an epic journey of bravery and heroism as a plucky knight-in-training who must take up the magic shield of the legendary protector Sir Lionstone. The Knightling launches on PC, PS5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch on August 28, 2025 and is available today as a free demo on Steam.
Saber Interactive rounded out their showcase with a new trailer for Tempest Rising, the modern real-time strategy game inspired by the RTS classics of the ‘90s and 2000s. Players can experience two epic campaigns with unique factions and deeply rewarding gameplay, playable starting today for Deluxe Edition pre-order owners ahead of the game’s official launch on April 24.
Apeirogon Games world premiered LAPD 2195, a modern multiplayer and co-op reimagining of the cult classic "Future Cop L.A.P.D." Players will join the Mech-Assisted Security and Tactics (M.A.S.T.) unit of the Los Angeles Police Department in a futuristic setting.
TEAM 17 SHOWCASE
Last year Team 17 revealed their partnership with Grassrootz Studio and together they've got new gameplay from WRAITH OPS, their fast-paced FPS focusing on objective-based tactical combat with a focus on teamwork and skill.
Team 17 and Piraknights also showcased Sintopia, their unique sandbox god game and management sim set in a chaotic 1980s-inspired Hell. Players will influence the sins of the Humus population and manage a team of Imployees to punish dead souls for their sins.
Team 17 had one more title to show off with FusionPlay, and Epic NPC Man creators bringing out Nice Day for Fishing, where players take control of Baelin the fisherman NPC as he becomes an adventurer. The RPG pixel adventure features precision fishing, magic spells, and the rebuilding of Honeywood.
KEPLER INTERACTIVE SHOWCASE
Sandfall Interactive and Kepler Interactive presented a new lore trailer for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, their innovative turn-based RPG with unique real-time mechanics set in a fantasy world inspired by Belle Époque France. The game launches on April 24th, 2025.
Motion Twin revealed a brand new playable biome for their action roguelite Windblown, which is playable in Early Access now. This lightning-fast roguelite comes from the creators of Dead Cells and features the Leapers battling against the deadly Vortex.
Veewo Games announced the Early Access release day and next multiplayer playtest for their highly anticipated sequel Neon Abyss 2, expanding on their cybermyth roguelike with faster action, higher stakes, and unlimited item synergies. Neon Abyss 2 enters Steam Early Access on July 17th, 2025.
Kepler Interactive's Bionic Bay is available to play right now! Currently tied with Split Fiction for most highly reviewed game of the year, this puzzle platformer features an innovative swap mechanic and realistic physics system allowing players to shift gravity and interchange positions with objects to overcome deadly hazards.
NEKKI SHOWCASE
Nekki premiered Ninja Party, a free-to-play PvP party royale action game where players parkour their way to victory using katanas, kunai, hammers and anything that comes to hand – even a frying pan! Ninja Party is coming to PC, Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms, and players can sign up now for the upcoming Ninja Party playtest on the game’s Steam homepage.
Nekki showcased new Freeflow Gun Fu gameplay from SPINE and announced support for Nintendo Switch 2 alongside PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. SPINE follows Redline – a street artist outfitted with a sentient combat implant – as she fights against an oppressive AI regime in a cyberpunk world to rescue her captured brother.
HORROR HIGHLIGHTS
Kinetic Games revealed the trailer for the Easter 2025 event for Phasmophobia, ‘Cursed Hollow’, introducing new community challenges, seasonally decorated maps, mysterious Forest Spirit Minion totems, and more to the cooperative horror game that has sold over 22 million copies.
Oro Interactive unveiled their new survival horror game, Video Ghastlies, by the creator of Daemonologie, set to release in 2025. The atmospheric horror title promises to bring a fresh perspective to the genre.
SonderingEmily presented new gameplay from lily's world XD, a psychological horror game where players investigate a young girl's computer from the 2000s, reading conversations, customizing blogs, and discovering unsettling messages addressed directly to them.
Two Stamp world premiered Hear Tell of Hauntings, a western survival horror where players become Adelaide, a former outlaw investigating the abandoned and mysterious Wraith manor.
Pantaloon showcased Sub Verge, a narrative puzzle game about a band of renegade divers where conversation is a dangerous game, and players must uncover alliances and expose betrayals before something horrific from the dark abyss silences them all. The release date is May 1, 2025.
Pantaloon also presented Occlude, a cosmic-horror card game disguised as Solitaire with cryptic lore and sanity-shattering puzzles.
RACING & ACTION
MoJu Studios world premiered ASUKA: The Ascent, inviting players to enter a high-octane world of intense street races across Japan's iconic mountains, complete with tunable JDM cars, fierce rivals, and a manga-inspired story filled with mystery.
KRAFTON, Inc. and EF Games showcased Rivals Hover League, a vehicular arena combat game where players battle in diverse vehicle classes, using tactical maneuvers and team coordination to become champions.
KRAFTON, Inc. and Striking Distance Studios presented gameplay from their roguelike title [REDACTED] where players have to massacre monsters, race rivals, and combat corpses of fellow guards to escape prison.
SIMULATION & MANAGEMENT
FuturLab gave a closer look at the newly-revealed PowerWash Simulator 2, expanding their zen-like experience with new environments, enhanced equipment, home base, and multiplayer features that elevate the satisfaction of transforming grimy scenes into pristine landscapes.
Seed Lab showcased Starsand Island, a Island-life simulator (launching in Winter 2025) where players can retread the paths of their childhood as they fish, farm, raise animals, and build relationships with locals while customizing their dream paradise.
Tiny Dragon presented Vending Dokan: Kozy Kiosk, a charming vending management sim where players grow a vending machine business, decorate city spaces, and manage staff while enjoying a relaxing gameplay loop.
Pearl Abyss, developer of Black Desert Online, also offered exclusive Twitch Drops during the showcase, including a free copy of Black Desert.
