Everything You Need to Know Ahead of the ESL Impact Season 4 Global Finals

Wednesday, December 6th, 2023, Valencia - ESL Impact returns to DreamHack Valencia for the second time! From December 8 - 10, the Season 4 Global Finals of the all-women’s Counter-Strike circuit, ESL Impact, will take place live at the gaming lifestyle festival DreamHack Valencia. The top eight teams from the online league season will compete for a share of the $123,000 prize pool and the coveted trophy. Reigning Champions Nigma Galaxy will be defending their title in hopes of winning their sixth consecutive ESL Impact trophy.

Here is all you need to know about ESL Impact Season 4:

ESL Impact League Season 4 commenced on September 13 and saw 28 all-women Counter-Strike teams from Europe, North America, and South America competing against one another for a spot at the Valencia Finals. In Asia, a battle also commenced during the Wildcard Qualifiers on October 6 - 8 as all-women squads across the region faced off against one another to secure the dedicated slot in the season’s showdown.

The eight best teams have now been decided and they will be facing off live in front of a packed-out audience at the Feria Valencia convention center during DreamHack Valencia on December 8 - 10.

Valencia is a city that, through the years, has established itself as a hotspot for women's esports tournaments, including CS:GO DreamHack Showdown Valencia 2019. Additionally, ESL Impact has a previous history in Valencia, with Nigma Galaxy taking the crown in a standalone live ESL Impact event at DreamHack Valencia 2022.

ESL Impact was launched at the beginning of 2022 as one of the initiatives of ESL FACEIT Group’s (EFG) #GGFORALL. The program combines new and existing initiatives to tackle discrimination, promote mental wellbeing, and progress environmental sustainability in esports.

For almost two years, ESL Impact has inspired all-women Counter-Strike teams and broadcast talent to follow their dreams of being a part of the professional esports scene. It provides teams, talent, players, fans, and more with a dedicated ecosystem, creating a more diverse and safe environment to compete in.

Schedule and Format

Group Stage (December 8 - 9)

• The eight qualified teams will be split into two groups of four teams.
• These two groups will face off in double-elimination matches, with Opening and Winners’ matches played as best-of-one, and Elimination and Decider played as best-of-three.
• The top two teams per group will advance to the Playoffs.

Playoffs (December 10)

• The best four teams will compete in a single elimination bracket in a best-of-three format, with two teams advancing to the Grand Final.
• The Grand Final will also be played in best-of-three.
