Headlined by three official game reveals, The Spill’s debut stream featured content announcements, roadmap updates and a behind the scenes look at some of the hottest indie games in the world.

October 8th 2024: The Spill, a brand new stream from the developers behind some of the world’s favourite indie hits, just wrapped up, featuring three official game reveals, alongside a candid showcase of what is coming next. Attended by developers across some of the hottest games such as Satisfactory, Valheim, Deep Rock Galactic, Songs of Conquest, Goat Simulator and more, here is a roundup of everything announced at the show.

Official Reveal: Coffee Stain’s New IP ‘As We Descend’ Releases First Playable Demo and Official Announcement Trailer

Developers Box Dragon have unveiled the official announcement trailer for the apocalyptic roguelike deckbuilder, As We Descend, and launched the game’s very first public demo on Steam. The debut game from Box Dragon, a studio founded by former Stunlock Studios developers, As We Descend takes a strategic twist to a beloved genre. With turn-based, card-drafting combat, alongside resource management and relationship building in a desperate civilisation, players will decide whether the final bastion of humanity thrives - or crumbles.

Official Reveal: Invisible Walls Announce ‘Neighbors: Suburban Warfare’, Slaphappy PvP Lawn-Wrecking Game

Danish developer Invisible Walls has unveiled their next multiplayer game, titled ‘Neighbors: Suburban Warfare’. Set in the idyllic suburban town of Heartsville, Neighbors’ Suburban Warfare is a slaphappy PvP game where players can settle neighbor beefs and wreck each other’s gardens and houses as they weaponise everyday household items to lay traps and craft tools to defeat their opponents. The game’s teaser trailer showcased some of the Neighbors that players will be able to pick, each equipped with a unique ability and item, offering endless replayability in the form of unlocking more perks and hobbies, as well as a closetful of cosmetics.

While there isn’t a release date set for Neighbors: Suburban Warfare yet, players can wishlist the game on Steam and join the official Discord to participate in exclusive community playtests!

Official Reveal: NITRO GEN OMEGA revealed by DESTINYbit

New Platform Reveal: Goat Simulator 3 Heads For Pastures Old, Launching On PS4 And Xbox One This Month

Coffee Stain North have announced that the best Goat Simulation game since 2014’s Goat Simulator will soon be coming to 8th generation consoles! Goat Simulator 3 will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, on October 24th, with cross-ownership integrated across both console generations as well as cross-saves integrated for Xbox. The game will feature local 2-player splitscreen, and 2-player online multiplayer for those on the same platform, as well as all the chaos and customization a goat could dream of. Even better, this year’s huge first DLC, the Multiverse of Nonsense, will also be available for purchase on the platforms.

Launch Date Reveal: The Goatfather of Simulation Games Returns! Goat Simulator: Remastered Launches November 7th

It’s the re-baa-ster that no one asked for - Coffee Stain Publishing’s Goat Simulator: Remastered launches on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on November 7th - exactly 10 years, 7 months, and 6 days since the original release! This new and improved version of 2014’s Goat Simulator features updated graphics and lighting, a re-worked mutator menu, and every DLC from the original PC game included - as well as one fan-favourite DLC from the mobile version.

Content Update: Valheim’s Swamps Biome Gets Spookier in ‘The Bog Witch’ Update

The gloomiest biome of Valheim is about to get a whole lot spookier. Iron Gate have revealed the next content update coming to their hit survival game Valheim, titled ‘The Bog Witch’. This update, soon to hit public testing, will be adding a new denizen to the Swamps that Vikings will have to locate in order to purchase materials necessary for crafting new potions and draughts to further enhance their power as they continue to slay their way through the Norse purgatory. The Bog Witch update will also see the addition of feasts, craftable food items that can be enjoyed by multiple players, from the delightfully named Mushrooms Galore á la Mistlands to the succulent Swamp Dweller’s Delight.

Content Update: Songs of Conquest Announces Vanir DLC, Coming This Winter

Having sold over 500,000 units, Lavapotion’s turn-based strategy Songs of Conquest is showing no signs of slowing down. The team at Lavapotion has kept a close eye on player feedback and decided to reshuffle their post-launch content roadmap, kicking things off with a major Vanir DLC update that will be introducing a brand new faction, five new Conquest maps, two new Challenge maps and nine new Wielder hero units. The Vanir are a powerful new faction of outcasts inspired by Scandinavian folklore that embrace the power of Vildra, powerful and temperamental creatures of the Bleak East, a brand new region of Aerbor that players will get to visit.
