'Heart' by Eleftherios Mukuka nominated for Zambian Music Video Awards
Zambian-Greek electronic dance music artist Eleftherios Mukuka's music video for his song ‘Heart’ has been nominated for best music video at the Zambian Music Video Awards. This was announced on Zambian national television show 'Born and Bred'.
Eleftherios Mukuka is an unusual story. Born in Lusaka, Zambia with a Greek mother and a Zambian father, today he studies music as the first Zambian at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, USA.
The single; Heart, was released in July on the Swedish Clubstream Pink label and has been well received in radio and press. The official music video is published today on YouTube and has already been picked up by TV stations in Sweden and the US.
Directed by Kenny Roc of Ground Xero, Zambia, the majority of the video was shot at Chaminuka Lodge, Zambia. The video features Eleftherios Mukuka, the song’s vocalist Alan Thompson and Mercedes Milner, the three are all childhood friends from growing up together in Lusaka.
“This video features some of the most beautiful footage I’ve seen in a music video. I definitely need to visit Zambia sometime soon.” –says Håkan Ludvigson, A&R manager at Clubstream.
The single is out on the Swedish dance label Clubstream Pink, part of the Gothenburg based record company Substream. The release is available from today on all major download networks, including iTunes, Spotify and Beatport.
