Strawberry takes next step in digital guest journey

As part of the hotel groups strategy to provide outstanding guest experience, one of the Group hotels - Clarion Hotel Post - now enables mobile keys in Google Wallet™. The hotel group is the first hotel chain in the world to provide the service.

The launch of hotel keys in Google Wallet is the result of a close collaboration between Vingcard, an ASSA ABLOY Company, and Zaplox. For Strawberry, this will not only provide an easy, accessible way to access your hotel room, but also to do so in a safe and secure way. From now on, your phone will now also be your hotel key.

To add your hotel key to Google Wallet is simple, just add it by tapping “Add to Google Wallet” once the check in has been completed. The service is available to all guests at Clarion Post with an Android phone. Once the guest checks out, their key is automatically deactivated. Security and privacy are built into every part of Google Wallet to keep all the guests' information protected.

Strawberry and Vingcard have had a successful partnership since 2010 to provide mobile key solutions and in December 2022, Zaplox joined the partnership to handle the full life cycle for mobile keys in the portfolio.
